FYI for Sunday, March 25th
First, thanks to all of those who hosted and fed our Asbury College guests who worked all week at Kids Alley in Camden.
The team really appreciated your hospitality.
Second, there will be no kids Sunday School until further notice.
Third, there will be youth group on Sunday at 6PM at the church.
Fourth, we will meet at 1:45PM to
go to the Spring Oak retirement village for our monthly service.
Fifth, Dr. James Lavender, the Superintendent
and Principal of the Gibbsboro School, will have a special time for questions and answers regarding the school, classes, and
future plans. I want to encourage you to be apart of that group. Originally I was going to teach the adult class,
however, I think it would be beneficial for the non-Gibbsboro parents to have a chance to hear the concerns and hopes of one
of our schools. So, I will not be finishing the Revelation study until after Easter (unless I do so online, through
a downloadable mp3.) I'd be interested if you'd prefer that option. Send me an email.
Sixth,
JUNE Project sign up packets are available on the back table of the sanctuary. Pick up your materials and get signed
up with a $25 registration ASAP. JUNE Project will go from August 5-11 in Schuykill county Pennsylvania. Also
check out www.juneproject.org.
Seventh, Pray for Charlotte Gruber and her family. Charlotte fell and broke
her leg in two places. Please pray for her and, if you'd like to help out the family, give me a call or send an
email.
Eighth, Thanks to Walt Wise for helping me this week. I appreciate it Walt!
Ninth, Right
now, VBS is slated for the last week of June. If this is a bad idea, please let us know so we can get the right week
for "Avalanche Ranch"!
Tenth, (and last) we will have a Church Council meeting on Monday, March 26th
at 7:30-8:30 PM.
phew. that was a lot. Rob

Pot-lucky!
I just spoke to John Morley. The team is making their way over to New Jersey and are anticipating an arrival time of
about 6:30. So, join us at 6:30 for a potluck meal with the team from Asbury College. Hope you can make it!

Potluck announcment
Jurgen Moltmann said, "Only the crucified Christ can bring the freedom which changes the world because it is no longer
afraid of death." Tomorrow in worship we will look at the suffering of Christ on the cross and ask why it was necessary,
what has it accomplished, and what does that mean for our own suffering in the world. I hope you can make it.
Later on today I will post an update regarding the missions team who is coming from Asbury College. We are scheduled
to have a 6PM potluck dinner at the church but those plans may change based on the weather and the roads as the team makes
their way over.
Through the course of this week the team will work with Kids Alley in Camden.
I
am seeking some help in the following areas:
SonZone helpers (ongoing, and very needed)
SonZone dinner preparers
Sunday Night Youth support staff
Sunday Morning media helpers (computers, sound board, etc.)
If you can
lend a hand, I am asking for your help. I would also like to ask you to help me ask others who aren't involved in
a role of service yet. Feel free to approach some folks at church and see if they would like to be involved.

clocks ahead, hosting, youth group, vbs
I am sure you are having some of the same joys of March that our family is having- colds, fevers, etc. Looking
forward to spring!
FYI- Turn your clocks ahead Saturday Night in preparation for church. Many of your devices
that do this on their own may not do so this time so take care to watch. Cell phones should automatically update as
well as cable boxes. Everything else may need your help!
Also, right now we have a team from Asbury College
who are coming to work with Kids Alley in Camden. Last year we hosted for an evening but they have asked if we could
host the team for the week. You would not have to provide meals or transportation, just a place to sleep and get cleaned
up. If we cannot find enough spaces (8, I believe) they will stay in a house in Camden that Kids Alley uses. I
would really appreciate it if we could identify four/Six homes that we could house these students. I believe there is
one male and 7 or 8 females. Let me know ASAP if you can help. The team will arrive on Saturday, March 17th and
they will depart on Saturday morning, March 24th.
There will be no youth group on Sunday night this week.
There will be a parent/youth/helper meeting on Wednesday, March 14th at 8pm following SonZone in order to see how we can help
our Sunday Night youth event flourish. If your interested in helping, email me and plan to attend.
We
are beginning to set the summer schedule and we'd like for some input from our team members in regard to the date for
VBS this year. The available weeks (beginning on the Monday of that week) include June 24, July 8, and July 22.
There are events that swirl around all of these dates but these seem to be the ones that make the most sense in terms of our
church calendar.
In the past, I have noticed that churches use a VBS program throughout the summer on a
weekly basis (Wednesdays, either daytime or nighttime) to run a program for kids throughout the summer. There may be
value in that but I'm not sure about the leaders that we might need to run a program like that. If you have a particular
feeling about that possibility, email us so we can begin to pray and think and plan.
